Patricia Orendorff Smith

Patricia Orendorff Smith is published in over 22 publications, national and local. Her work appears in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Western Pennsylvania Women of Distinction, Mature Outlook, Writing Basics, Pittsburgh Boomers, Tribune-Review, The Indiana Gazette, USA TODAY, IUP Magazine, Loyalhanna Review, Once Upon A Time, Guideposts for Teens, Story Friends, The Path, Leaves, Handspun, Today's Pioneer Magazine, and The Punxsutawney Spirit. An essay on her grandmother appears in the book CeLebrations. Ideals Publications accepted a prose piece and a poem. She won awards at the Mercer Conference, The Upper Case, the Inspirational Writers Fellowship Contest (Brookville, Pennsylvania), and the Saltsburg Free Library's First Annual Poetry Contest.

Smith received a scholarship to the Highlights Foundation Workshop at Chautauqua in 2000 with Bernette Ford as her reader and Eileen Spinelli as her mentor.
